In the space between Florida, Bermuda and the Greater Antilles more than 50 ships and 20 airplanes have gone missing - some vanishing into thin air without a trace. Over the course of nearly seventy years, multiple theories have been tossed around - some going as far as to chalk it up to alien abduction. Even Christopher Columbus wrote about it in his journals and commented on the strange behaviour of his compass in this sea region. But what is truth and what is myth? Today, we’ll go back through history to solve the mystery. We’ll first be looking at the disappearance of the USS Cyclops - a US navy ship that vanished with three hundred passengers on board. While discussing the breakdown of events, we will also provide our own theories on what happened. After discussing the disappearance of ships, we’ll be moving to the skies. Most importantly, we will cover the story of the pilot who flew through and lived to tell the tale. In 1970, Bruce Gernon set off to fly from Andros Island to Palm Beach, Floria. He was joined by two passengers, and as they took off at 3pm, they had no idea what was in store for them.
