Yet, think hard and you can likely think of some other Oscars incidents that left us confused, cringing or, at the very least, a little uncomfortable. Tasteless jokes, poorly timed comments, awkward acts by presenters and just plain old inexplicable events on the red carpet can all leave us, the viewers, sitting at home with our jaws firmly on the ground. In fact, it seems like almost every year produces one moment that leaves us feeling a bit icky or uncomfortable. It all makes us further appreciate how hard the directors and crew must work to keep some of these stars in line when they are actually working on set.
