But what a lot of people don’t realize is that it takes a lot of hard work. Although getting paid to work out probably does wonders for your willpower, it’s still requires some serious dedication, which a lot of people just don’t have. Luckily–or maybe, unluckily–there’s an easier way: cheating! There are infinite different ways of artificially enhancing yourself to reach peak musculature and most of them are available to the general public. But, that doesn’t mean they’re good for you. There the good old-fashioned anabolic steroids, of course, which were used in the days of Arnold Schwarzenegger and the OG Hulk Lou Ferrigno. But nowadays, they’re not quite as popular. Other, weirder substances are on the rise. Namely, Synthol, a mix of oil, anesthetic and alcohol, that people inject directly into their muscles, inflating them to outrageous proportions. Although the cocktails is used–sparingly–by some professionals, it’s mostly amateurs who administer it themselves. As you might expect, this could have some disastrous results. It’s turned old men into real-life Popeyes and young men into deformed versions of The Incredible Hulk. There are also implants, which stay a little more solid, but they also look massively out of place on an otherwise natural body.
